Nokia introduced the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet, signifying a new phase in portable internet communication. Sporting Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g connectivity, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a full-fledged web browser, there's only one thing missing: WiMAX. However, a WiMAX version of the N810 will be coming next year. In the meantime, the N810's Wi-Fi connectivity will provide Internet access through hotspots as well as home and office networks, while the Bluetooth 2.0 support provides Internet access through cellular data networks when connected to phones with Dial-up networking (DUN) support.
The Nokia N810 comes with a range of must-have features such as Skype for calling, web camera with VGA resolution, e-mail and Instant messaging clients, GPS radio with Wayfinder's voice guided navigation for turn-by-turn directions and a microSD slot supporting cards up to 8GB.
In addition, the N810 comes with a 400MHz TI OMAP 2420 processor, 2GB of internal storage capacity, 128MB DDR RAM and 256MB Flash ROM. Furthermore, the N810 weighs 226 g and measures 72 by 128 by 14 mm.
The Nokia N810 is powered by Maemo Linux based OS2008, featuring a highly customizable user interface and contains various novelties such as a Mozilla based browser with Ajax and Adobe Flash 9, Bluetooth headset support as well as enhanced video and audio features. The Mozilla browser provides access to all web sites a standard web browser would provide access to, including sites like Facebook and Youtube.
A built-in media player supports 3GP, AVI, WMV, MP4, H263, H.264, MPEG-1, MPEG-4 and RV (RealVideo) video formats, as well as MP3, WMA, AAC, AMR, AWB, M4A, MP2, RA (RealAudio) and WAV audio formats. The media player provides direct access to shared media over Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). Nokia claims a music playback time of 10 hours; continuous usage (display on, wireless LAN active) of up to 4 hours; always online time of up to 5 days; and standby time of up to 14 days.
The refreshed Video Gizmo, Skype and Rhapsody highlight some most popular downloads available while Boingo Wireless, Earthlink and The Cloud enable Wi-Fi connectivity across thousands of different locations globally.
Sporting a 65K colors 4.1" display with a resolution of 800 by 480 pixels, the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet is expected to start shipping mid November with an estimated retail price of $480.

Nokia 5530 XpressMusic First Impressions

Good (For Now)
- Size: I love the size. It’s not too thick, and not too big either. Weighty enough to know that you’re carrying without being a burden a la N97 or (shudder) N90.
- Build quality: Even though the 5530 XpressMusic is mostly made of plastic, like the 5800, it looks and feels a heck of a lot better. The material on the front is some kind of metallic plastic, and Nokia changed the back cover from the rubbery 5800 cover to a smoother plastic. Overall the phone feels extremely solid.
- Snappy interface: Yes, it’s still Symbian S60 Fifth Edition. But the whole experience feels snappier than say, the N97, thanks to some slick transitions.
- Speakers: Thank you, Nokia, for not screwing this up. The speakers sound just as good as the 5800’s, and that’s a huge plus.
- Touch-screen: The 5530 uses a resistive touch-screen, but it feels pretty sensitive. More sensitive than the 5800.
Bad (For Now)
- Slowdowns: they’re rare, but they happen – most notably when scrolling through songs while playing a track in the Music Player.
- Kinetic scrolling: it’s in most places, but Nokia left it out in the folder view. Strange that no one picked that up.
- Virtual keyboard: the keyboard is better with iPhone/Android-esque pop-up letters, but still flawed. Instead of recognizing keypresses *as you’re pressing the keys*, the keyboard only recognizes something when you press and let go.
Overall, I’d have to say I’m impressed. I like the 5530 XpressMusic, and while the 5800XM had more desirable features (GPS, Carl Zeiss, 3G, etc), I prefer the 5530.
Nokia X6

Music just got a whole lot more interesting, with the introduction of the Nokia X6. 3.2-inch touchscreen? Check. 32GB of storage? Check. 35 hours of music playback? You guessed it, that’ll be a check. Did we mention the blow-your-mind design? We’ve only just clapped eyes on the sleek and sexy X6 and already we can’t keep our peepers off it.
At a touch under 14mm thin, it’s slim frame packs plenty of power and will leave music lovers in no doubt as to how they’ll be listening to music on the move when the device goes on sale this side of Xmas. What’s more, the Nokia X6 is a Comes with Music device which means you’ll be able to tune into as much all-you-can-hear music as you like without having to spend a penny extra.
Nokia-X6-2The 3.2-inch widescreen display is optimised for photos and videos, proving the Nokia X6 is more than just a musical masterpiece. Pack 20 friends onto your homescreen, along with communities such as Facebook and it’s also a fully connected social butterfly.
Did we mention the 35 hours of music playback? Well what about 16 days standby time, a 5-megapixel camera and Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash, TV-out, video editing, online sharing, Nokia Music store, full web browser and Flash Lite support. Still want more? Okay then, A-GPS, Ovi Maps and Playlist DJ. If you fancy a bit of gaming, then Spore is included, along with DJ Mix Tour and Asphalt4. Phew.
The addition of this device to Comes with Music takes music on the move into a totally new dimension. And we’re pretty excited about it.

Yep, $542.58.
Let’s see how the math works out.
Buy.com Price: $559.99

—
= $542.59 with 2-day shipping.
How to Get the Deal
You’ll need to go through Bing.com first: Direct Link or go through Bing Cashback (click on the B link to show all stores that start with B, then scroll down to the bottom)
After you either create a Bing cashback account or login with your current account, it’ll take you to the Buy.com home page. Just search for “nokia n900″ and it should be the first result.

Nokia E90 Mobile Review

Nokia E90 Communicator is a 3G smartphone made by Nokia and the latest model of the Communicator series. It was announced in February 2007 at the 3GSM show in Barcelona.
The first Nokia E90 unit was sold in an auction in Jakarta, Indonesia on May 17, 2007 for Rp. 45,000,000 (5,000 US$).[1] Indonesia being one of the largest market share for Nokia's communicator series is cited as a reason for the unit's first launch location.[2]
E90 starts the fifth generation of Nokia's communicators, and also introduces a new platform to Nokia's communicator line, Series 60 v3. Previous communicators have been based on either GeOS or Series 80. E90 is also the first Nokia communicator to have UMTS/HSDPA connectivity and integrated GPS. It features OSGi and eRCP, Eclipse RCP for embedded systems.
Early user-feedback and reviews highlighted a defect in the microphone of Nokia E90. According to a review on consumer review website MouthShut.com,[3] the Nokia E90 was recalled from dealers as a result of the problem. This resulted in delivery delays worldwide. Nokia initially denied the existence of the defect, but it was later acknowledged by Nokia Europe, and addressed in the Q3 earnings report released on October 18, 2007,[4] stating that the issue has now been fully resolved. Early phones sold in Belgium offered a choice of English, Dutch or Romanian but not French language.
Firmware version 7.40.1.2, released in late October 2007, added support for A-GPS, intended to enhance GPS performance in poor signal conditions, such as in city streets overshadowed by buildings. This version also upgraded the Maps application. As of June 2009[update] the most recent firmware version is 400.34.93.
By new firmwares, some users experience Bluetooth, wlan and radio problems. Some users report that , after installing new firmwares, bluetooth can not be turned on, wlan can not find access points and radio reboots device whenever turned on. Nokia does not accept this problem. The devices under garanty coverage are replaced by Nokia but, others are solutionless and can not be repaired. For reference please google "E90 Bluetooth problem"

Nokia Mobile E71x review

The Nokia E71x is an easy phone to recommend for business users looking for a powerful device in an attractive, slim shell. It's one of the better smartphones on the market, and certainly its near the top of AT&T's lineup. The interface could use a serious overhaul to make it more convenient, intuitive and downright pretty, and AT&T did little to improve this phone from the unlocked Nokia E71 besides adding a raft of trial software and carrier-specific extras.
Still, the phone does a very good job at nearly everything, with e-mail, Web browsing and call handling as standouts. At twice the price, this would be a good choice, but with a starting bid of $100, we think AT&T and Nokia have a winner on their hands. Release: May 2009. Price: $100.
Pros: Slim design makes it the coolest smartphone in its class. Great value. Very good Web browsing and GPS features.
Cons: Multimedia functions lag behind all others. Already stodgy Symbian interface not improved by AT&T bloatware. Mediocre camera.

Nokia offers two new music phones, Facebook applications

Nokia, lagging behind Apple Inc.’s iPhone on applications, unveiled new devices that will let users do more on Facebook and get greater access to music.
The world’s largest mobile-phone maker unveiled the N97 mini, a cheaper version of its top-end phone that will allow users to post their location on Facebook.
It also announced two new music phones, the X6 and X3, and pledged to form more partnerships with software companies.
According to Bloomberg News, Nokia had 45 percent of the smart-phone market in the second quarter, researcher Gartner Inc. said. That’s down from 62 percent in 2005. Smart-phone sales are estimated to increase 27 percent to 170 million units bringing in revenue of $57 billion this year, it said.
Users look to smart phones for content including movies, video, pictures, Web sites, Facebook and other features. Apple has more than 50,000 applications available for all iPhone and iPod Touch models.
Nokia’s new N97 mini will come with “social location” capabilities, permitting users to post their locations in Facebook status updates along with geographically linked photos and local content, Nokia said. The software makes it easier for users to produce and consume information about places.
The N97 mini has a suggested sale price of $639.
The music phones offer bundled unlimited music services in some markets.

UPDATED: Rumor Mill: Nokia expanding at T-Mobile

Nokia's North American troubles are well documented, but it appears the company may be looking to expand its 3G efforts at T-Mobile USA.
According to FCC documents unearthed by Phone Scoop, the commission has approved a clamshell phone, called the Nokia 3710a, with support for T-Mobile's 3G UMTS network in the 1700 MHz band. T-Mobile has not announced the device.
In other Nokia news, The Nokia Blog posted a tip from a source who claimed to have spoken with Nokia spokesman Joseph Gallo about Nokia's new Linux-based smartphone, the N900. The tipster said Gallo had confirmed a version of the N900 with 850/1900/2100 MHz support, which would align with AT&T Mobility's 3G network.
However, Gallo told FierceWireless that no such plans have been announced. "Regarding the Nokia N900, we have announced a tri-band WCDMA version that utilizes the 900/1700/2100 MHz networks," he said. "There have been no announcements regarding a version that supports the 850/1900/2100MHz bands."

Nokia 5230

Nokia has just popped open its paint pot and pulled out the new Nokia 5230 in a range of custom colours. The latest handset to join the touchscreen fold, the Nokia 5230 has been designed to serve up slick on-the-go entertainment, location-based services and act as an easy pocket portal for social networking at low cost. Read on for more details and get a close-up look at the 5230 in our photo gallery.
Brandishing a 3.2-inch widescreen touch display with full-screen QWERTY keyboard and handwriting recognition, the Nokia 5230 is geared up to enable you to rattle out messages at speed. Paired with speedy HSDPA connectivity, this means staying in the loop and keeping your Facebook and Twitter streams promises to be a no-wait affair. Ovi Store is nestled neatly on the homescreen from the moment you switch on the device, ensuring you can get instant anywhere access to quality bite-size apps.
Music is its first love though, with the 5230 bringing 33 hours of playback time (long battery life was recently voted the most important feature in a music phone by you guys – so we’re stoked to see that), a 3.5mm headphone jack and memory expandable up to 16GB via a microSD card. Two versions of the phone will launch – a standard device costing 149 Euros, and in some select areas a Comes With Music version will be available for 259 Euros for those keen on all-you-can-eat downloads.
Jo Harlow is Vice President at Nokia, and had this to say about today’s news of the upcoming 5230:
“Competitively priced at 149 Euros, we believe the Nokia 5230 is an unbeatable offer for many new customers who aspire a device that stars in music, mingles with social networks from Facebook to MySpace, navigates you to where it happens, when it happens, and comes in array of dazzling colors”
Other features include assisted-GPS with Ovi Maps, Nokia’s new Contacts bar on the homescreen, a 2 megapixel camera and Bluetooth 2.0.
